European Commission introduces new online platform to support entrepreneurship throughout Europe

The European SME Week (ESW) is an initiative led by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) and the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) to promote entrepreneurship and provide support to entrepreneurs, business organizations, and business support providers at various levels across Europe. One of the key features of the ESW is the new Promoting Enterprise Futurium online community, which serves as a platform for information and resources to assist entrepreneurs and SMEs on their journey.

The Promoting Enterprise Futurium platform aims to foster a community of SMEs and support organizations that drive innovation and collaboration, ultimately shaping Europe’s future and addressing current challenges. Spearheaded by Igor Kalinic and André Meyer from the European Commission, this initiative encourages SMEs and support organizations to engage with European SME Week in 2024 and beyond. The platform is designed to provide a space for networking, sharing knowledge, and accessing valuable resources to support entrepreneurship in Europe.

The motto of European SME Week, ‘Promoting enterprise. Every week. Everywhere.’, reflects the inclusive and expansive nature of the initiative. Building upon the success of last year’s 50+ events held across Europe, the SME Assembly is set to take place on 18-20 November 2024 in Budapest, Hungary. This flagship event of the ESW is organized in collaboration with the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship at the European level.

Entrepreneurs, SMEs, and individuals involved in promoting entrepreneurship in Europe are encouraged to join the Promoting Enterprise platform on Futurium. This platform serves as a central hub for information related to European SME Week, the SME Assembly, and the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA). By joining the community on the platform, users can access a wealth of content and resources to support their entrepreneurial endeavors.

The content on the Promoting Enterprise Futurium Platform is publicly available to all users. To engage with other community members and participate in discussions, users can create an EU Login account. Creating an EU Login account is a simple process that can be completed in a few easy steps. By creating an account, users can actively participate in the community, share insights, and collaborate with like-minded individuals to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe.

In conclusion, the Promoting Enterprise Futurium online community is a valuable resource for entrepreneurs, SMEs, and supporters of entrepreneurship in Europe. By joining the platform, individuals can access information, resources, and networking opportunities to enhance their entrepreneurial journey and contribute to shaping the future of Europe. With the support of initiatives like European SME Week, entrepreneurship is encouraged and celebrated as a key driver of innovation and economic growth in the European Union.
