UNLV’s Lee Business School is launching an online, asynchronous track of the Master in Business Administration (MBA) program to offer students an alternative to traditional classroom learning and to address workforce needs across the world. The online program will provide flexibility, networking opportunities, and access to extensive resources to ensure graduates are well-prepared for career advancement in the fast-paced business world.
The program, set to launch in spring 2025, is now accepting applicants. Taught by the same faculty as UNLV’s long-established hybrid evening MBA and dual MBA programs, students can expect a high-quality education that often leads to a significant increase in salary post-graduation. In fact, a UNLV MBA delivers a robust 395% return on investment, with an average salary increase of $25,000 annually over a 10-year period after graduation.
“Our professors are dedicated to providing students with essential managerial skills and an innovative learning environment,” says Won-Yong Oh, associate chair of the Department of Management, Entrepreneurship & Technology. “The skills, knowledge, and network our students acquire are valuable rewards that last throughout their entire careers and take students further than they ever imagined.”
The MBA curriculum focuses on leadership and strategic skills necessary for success in the business world. Additionally, students have access to various resources to support their professional growth, including internships, career and professional development services, and partnerships with industry leaders and community organizations.
Students enrolled in the online MBA program will benefit from Las Vegas’s status as a thriving business hub, particularly in industries like tourism, hospitality, and gaming. The city’s innovative business environment provides students with unique networking opportunities and hands-on learning experiences.
Expand Professional Networks
Students in the online MBA program will have the opportunity to connect with the local business community through specialized networking events and internships. Visits to businesses like UFC and HUDL Brewery, as well as participation in the Seminars and Speaker Series, offer valuable insights and connections for students.
Vicky Saab, a ’24 MBA graduate, shares, “The MBA program has been a transformative experience for my professional growth…and attending the events and socials allowed me to connect with peers and grow.” Additionally, students can tap into a vast alumni network of over 21,000 business graduates and 140,000 total Rebels for career guidance and support.
The Power of Online Learning
From orientation to graduation, online MBA students can rely on the support of Lee Business School faculty and staff. Faculty director of MBA and EMBA Programs, John Baur, emphasizes the school’s commitment to adapting to students’ learning preferences and busy schedules.
The program starts with a detailed orientation session to introduce students to advisors, faculty, and peer mentors. Students receive guidance on navigating the online learning platform and tips for successful online learning. Throughout the program, the academic advising team provides personalized study plans and regular check-ins to ensure students are on track for success.
Lihuan Wang, an international dual MBA and Master of Information Systems student, praises the Office of Graduate Student Services for their support in degree planning, career development, and overall educational journey.
